Circo strada
Circo strada

Coordination of the European network Circostrada

HorsLesMurs co-founded and is coordinating the Circostrada network, European platform for information, research and professional exchanges, which gathers today 58 members present in 20 European countries, invested in the development, structuring and recognition of arts in public space and circus arts in Europe. Founded in 2003, the network contributes to the circulation of information within these artistic sectors, by favouring exchanges and cooperation between European professionals in the fields of arts in public space and circus arts, and by carrying out common actions to advocate for the recognition of these artistic forms full of vitality but with an unequal presence still in Europe. The objectives of Circostrada Network are to work towards the development and structuring of arts in public space and circus arts on the European scale, in dialogue with the rest of the world. These sectors demonstrate a high level of artistic dynamism throughout Europe, they need a space for exchanges, co-operation, reflection and professional representation at the European level.

Circostrada Network wishes to fulfil this need by contributing to the circulation of information within these artistic milieus, by favouring meetings and co-operation between European professionals and by carrying out common actions to further the recognition of these artistic forms. Circostrada Network wishes to provide and disseminate quality professional information to EU institutions, researchers and professionals of the cultural field, regional and national policymakers. Circostrada publishes monthly bilingual newsletters, to which you can subscribe on Circostrada’s website.
