The Foreign Reporting course (5th January –30th March 2009) is a theoretical and practical course aimed at providing students with the conceptual framework and the practical skills needed to work as a foreign reporter on assignment. The course puts emphasis on multiculturality, ethnicity, cultural minorities and international journalism.

The Foreign Reporting Course consists of:

- International Journalism (5 ECTS credits)

- Ethnicity, Representation and the Media (5 ECTS credits)

At the end of the course, the students are sent to Estonia on a working assignment which will result in a report for newspaper, radio or television. Thus, the participants are expected to have good English skills and some experience of practical journalism.

The course is full-time and the participants should, due to the intensive programme, not take part in other day-time courses from January to March 2009. See course programme for further details.
