[3] The Young Arab Theatre Fund (YATF) is an international organization designed to serve independent young artists living and working in the Arab World. The long term goal of YATF is
to encourage the sustainability of the independent artistic scene in the Arab World and to nurture and sustain its development.
YATF was founded to meet the increasing demands of the independent artists throughout the region who are embracing a new artistic sensibility and developing a cultural space conducive to creativity and critical engagement with their socio-political circumstances.
YATF works through different programs and events:
- The Production program, touring program and arts spaces program, which are designed to meet the needs of young artists from the Arab world.
- Meeting Points, a series of events that aims to create connections and interactions among artists from the region.
- The Informal Meeting of independent cultural spaces and operators in the Arabic speaking region, a project aiming at creating mobility circuits and stimulating touring possibilities for contemporary artistic creations in the region.
- The Mobility Hub, a virtual arts diffusion platform supporting artistic mobility and contemporary arts in the Arab region.
YATF is an international Association based in Brussels, registered and working under the Belgian law (a.i.s.b.l.).
